How we protect your data
Confidentiality is the foundation of an advocate's work. The same care applies to our website: we collect as little as possible, store it in Sweden and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Confidentiality and conflict checks
Everyone who works at Guard Advokater is bound by the duty of confidentiality that applies to advocates under the Swedish Bar Association's Code of Professional Conduct (vägledande regler om god advokatsed). This also covers what you write to us through the website. We do not disclose information about you unless the law requires it or you have consented.
Contacting us does not make you our client. Before we can take on an assignment, we always carry out a conflict check to make sure that we are not already representing someone else in the same matter. When you first contact us, please therefore describe only briefly what the matter concerns and who is involved. Do not provide any sensitive or detailed information until we have confirmed that we can take on the assignment.
No tracking, no advertising
- No cookies for statistics or marketing – so no cookie banner.
- No ad networks, no social media pixels, no profiling.
- Fonts are served from our own server. Google Maps opens only if you click the map link.
Your data stays in Sweden
Booking requests are stored in a database in Stockholm, and the website's server functions run in Stockholm. The database can only be reached through a dedicated, restricted account that cannot access anything else. All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).
We collect as little as possible
To book a call we only need your name, a phone number, a short description and a preferred time. We explicitly ask you not to write personal identity numbers, health information or details about crimes in the chat – we deal with those in a secure conversation with a lawyer.
Automatic deletion
Booking requests from the website are deleted automatically after twelve months.
Open about automation
The chat is answered by a digital assistant, and this is stated in the first message. It makes no legal assessments and no decisions about you. One of our lawyers always takes over your matter.
Limited and protected access
Only the firm's staff have access to incoming requests, using personal logins. Passwords are stored encrypted, logins expire automatically and a removed user loses access immediately.
Your rights
You can at any time ask to find out what information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent. Contact our data protection contact Sadik Kutlu at sadik@guardadvokater.se or 073-533 43 13. You may also contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY). You can read more about this in our privacy policy.
